About MEI Renewable, Inc.
MEI Renewables is the renewables division of McDonell Electric, Inc. As a separate entity, we specialize in the design, building, and maintenance of photovoltaic (PV) solar power plants. The majority of our employees are certified journeyman electricians with years of experience in both commercial electrical and commercial solar.
Eric McDonell is the owner of MEI Renewables, his electrical career spans over 30-years, starting as an apprentice, then a journeyman, and ultimately the owner of McDonell Electric. Seeing the overwhelming demand for renewable energy in California, the decision was made to form MEI Renewables as its own company in 2017.
Dennis Zielke is our business development manager and lead solar designer for MEI Renewables. His path in renewables came at the close of 2011 working for Stellar Energy GP, a well-known EPC in Northern California. He considers renewables his calling in life and is the driving force behind the MEI brand.
